Hozier Chooses the P3NY

Hozier Chooses the P3NY

Two short years ago,  Andrew Hozier-Byrne sat at his parents' piano just outside of Dublin and worked up a new song that he liked enough to demo. So he proceeded upstairs to the attic and recorded one. That rough demo of  "Take Me to Church" gained the attention of Irish indy label Rubywords and the record hit big on Irish radio.

Within weeks, a Triple-A radio station in Nashville became the first of hundreds in the U.S. to pick up on the single, and Hozier was on his way to becoming one of the biggest breakout artists of the last few years. Appearances on SNL, a stunning duet with Annie Lennox on the Grammys, and 77 million YouTube views of the video have helped secure that status. For his international tour, Andrew needed a suitable acoustic-electric. After auditioning several makes and models, the Takamine P3NY, a cedar top, satin finish, slot-head New Yorker, earned the honors as his number one go-to acoustic.

Check out Hozier and his P3NY in this acoustic performance of "Take Me to Church".
