Taking Back Sunday Tours with Takamine

Taking Back Sunday, the acclaimed rock band out of Long Island, NY, has had a very successful summer/fall tour in support of their seventh album Tidal Wave, and as always, Takamine acoustics have been in the spotlight onstage. For the last 15 years, when it was time for TBS to dial in an acoustic set, it's been with Takamine.

This year, frontman Adam Lazarra turned to the Pro Series P6N. The sunburst, solid flame maple backed, solid spruce top NEX model had the vintage vibe Adam wanted. Factor in a line output of fat, natural acoustic tone as supplied by the legendary Palathetic Pickup and CTP3 (Cool Tube) preamp, and Lazarra had found exactly what he was looking for.

Bandmate John Nolan chose the dressier "thermal top" EF450C-TT BSB featuring the TLD2 line driver preamp and Palathetic pickup in this model, which also features a solid heat-treated thermal spruce atop flamed maple back and sides.

The Tidal Wave tour is well under way with rows of shows throughout the summer and into the fall. For tour dates and all things Taking Back Sunday, visit their site.
