Congratulations to Mike Yarger, Winner of the EF381DX Sweepstakes!

Congratulations to Mike Yarger, Winner of the EF381DX Sweepstakes!

Thousands of you reached for the stars, but only one of you was chosen to enter 12-string nirvana. Mike Yarger of Port Huron, MI is the winner of our recent Takamine EF381DX Sweepstakes. We randomly picked his entry, and soon Mike will have this incredible guitar heading his way. Mike's response, when we let him know, was pretty appropriate...

"Wow! This is so awesome and unexpected."

Deluxe Series EF381DX

The EF381DX is part of our new Deluxe Series... guitars that are based on some of our best-selling Takamine models of all time, and then souped up with extra luxury appointments. In the case of the EF381DX, it's based on the EF381SC, one of the most popular professional-quality 12-string guitars of all time, adding strikingly colorful abalone purfling, abalone rosette, Gotoh tuners with pearloid buttons, and delicate Takamine diamond inlays. The EF381DX offers the rich, articulate sound of a solid spruce top and maple back and sides, and is stage-ready with its legendary CT4BII electronics.

Again, we send our congratulations to Mike, and we encourage the rest of you to stay tuned for our next chance to win!

Hello Takamine Community,

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you Tom Watters & ESP Takamine for picking my name for the guitar give away. And thank you for the kind words from the members of the community. I really appreciate it. To say this guitar is more beautiful in person, is an understatement. This guitar is unbelievable. The sound & clarity compared to my other 2 guitars is night and day (see photos).  I am by no means a proficient guitar player (don’t beat me up, lol) and really still learning. I only started playing and teaching myself a year ago. I am a 52 year old firefighter and getting ready to retire in a few years. Up until then I was too busy with work, running a small business, raising kids and putting them through college. Now that the college days are done. I decided I wanted to learn how to play an instrument. After doing some research and testing and talking to friends, I bought 2 G Series Tak’s on eBay. EG360SC & EG355SC. One to practice at home and one for the fire-station when we had some downtime, which doesn't happen to often. Now I have another one to add to the collection and practice, practice, practice. Thanks again to everyone. Have a great day.  Mike
