As you’re likely aware, Takamine Guitars are distributed in the USA and Mexico by world-renowned electric guitar manufacturer ESP Guitars. Expanding our reach into the Mexican music world, we’re proud to welcome respected guitarist Jose Macario to the Takamine artist family.

Beginning on guitar at age six, Jose never limited himself to a single music genre. From metal to hip hop to many styles in traditional and new Regional Mexican music styles, Jose loves to explore everything that a guitar has to offer.

On the acoustic side, Jose enjoys both 12-string and 6-string Takamine models. His guitar of choice is the iconic Legacy Series EF381SC, perhaps influenced in his choice by Regional Mexican music legend Danny Felix.

Jose adds, “I think that in addition to the sound and the looks of a Takamine guitar, the best thing it offers is versatility. That’s one reason they’re so popular around the world. There are no borders between genres.”
