Takamine Welcomes Dariell Cano to Our Artist Family

Takamine Guitars is proud to welcome Regional Mexican artist, producer, and songwriter Dariell Cano to our roster of artists.

Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan but now based in Southern California, Dariell has emerged in recent years as a powerful new voice in música mexicana alternativa, aka Mexican Alternative music. Known for fusing the traditional sounds of Sierreño/Campirano with modern R&B and indie pop influences, Dariell captivates over 60,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. His talent for crafting emotionally-charged Sierreño ballads has led to over 10 million streams across platforms, with his song “Este Sentimiento” surpassing one million streams alone.

This Gen-Z performing musician who is signed to Sony Music Latin discovered Takamine via the influence of the beloved late singer-songwriter Ariel Camacho. After experiencing Ariel perform, Dariell says that sealed the deal for his guitar brand of choice. “Takamine was the first professional guitar I ever picked up.”

“I’ve tried other guitar brands,” he continued, “and they never provided the sound for authentic Regional Mexican music.”

Acoustic guitar remains at the heart of Dariell’s sound in both the studio and for live performances. He’s been using a variety of Takamine models for stage and studio work, including two outstanding guitars handcrafted in Japan: the Pro Series P3DC-12 and the Signature Series GB7C. He recently picked up a new Takamine G Series GD37CE, the distinctive cutaway dreadnought in Pearl White finish.

Dariell currently is working on a new album, rehearsing with other musicians for upcoming shows, and continuing to evolve his sound in the new wave of Regional Mexicano.

Que bueno que halla firmado con Takamine, de verdad me pone feliz ver a uno de mis artistas favoritos firmar con Takamine, muy buena elección teniendo en cuenta que Dariell prácticamente durante toda su carrera ha usado Takamine
