The “New for 2019” Takamine’s Are Here!

We’ve just returned from a terrific NAMM Show, where our “New for 2019” models were unveiled. This year, we have the excellent new Thinline Series; six new acoustic-electric guitars that offer supremely comfortable playability while maintaining excellent Takamine build quality, acoustic tone, and professional electronics. The new limited-edition LTD-2019 Moon also makes use of our new Thinline shape while offering the beautiful inlays and special finish that’s expected form our annual special collectible guitar. Come to “Takamine Guitar Night” Clinic Series at Guitar Center Stores

In February and March, we’re packing up the van and hitting the road to 12 different Guitar Center stores in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona for the “Takamine Guitar Night” clinic tour! Accompanying us is renowned guitarist and singer-songwriter Jake Allen, but these events are much more than just a chance to hear an outstanding musician. You’ll be able to experience a wide assortment of Takamine guitars (including some special models that you might not find at other times), meet with our representatives to get personalized hands-on tours, and see the new 2019 models fresh from the NAMM Show. Attendees will also have chances to win door prizes and giveaways. Admission is free, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Each year, the master artisans at Takamine in Japan make one very special limited-edition guitar for the year. This year's LTD-2019 "Moon" pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, and humankind's curiosity and relationship with our glowing moon. Lovingly inlaid in lavish abalone and mother of pearl and depicting the moon, clouds and three wild geese, this guitar is a beautiful testament to the craftsmanship and art of Takamine's Premier Japan models.

Hozier’s New Album to Feature his Takamine P3NY

Hozier, whose music blew up around the world in 2013 with his hit single “Take Me to Church”, has a new album dropping on March 1. The Irish singer-songwriter often turns to his Takamine P3NY, an excellent New Yorker-style guitar with a satin-finished cedar top, a slot headstock, and Takamine CT4B II electronics.
