Guitar of the Month: Pro Series P4DC

Have you ever fallen in love with the same person twice? That’s how it felt when we pulled out a Takamine Pro Series P4DC the other day. It had been awhile since we'd pulled it out of the case, and we’d forgotten how great this spruce-topped, sapele-backed cutaway dreadnought sounded and how well it played. All alone in the Pro Series 4, the P4DC offers a rich, warm sound you won’t find in many other guitars.

Garth Brooks' Summer of Sold-Out Stadiums

True story: when Takamine artist Garth Brooks did a recent show at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, LA, the fans got so rowdy that it registered as a small earthquake on an LSU seismograph. Garth and his band have the stage packed with Takamine goodness, including Garth’s signature GB7C as well as great guitars like the CP5D-OAD, EF360GF, P3D and more.

They're back, and perhaps even better than ever! Ryanhood, the Tucson, AZ-based duo of Takamine players Ryan Green and Cameron Hood, have just debuted the video for "Appy Returns” which has Cameron performing on his iconic black EF341SC, and Ryan’s nimble fingers dancing on the fingerboard of his TSP158C.

Paride Pignotti:
“Charles River” on the CP3 NYK

We introduced you to Paride Pignotti last year when he won our “Go Play Outside” contest. His prize guitar was a Takamine Pro Series CP3 NYK, and he returned the favor by writing and recording an absolutely stunning song using it. This is a must-see if you want some musical inspiration today!

Spotlight: Limited Edition Series

Here’s something you may not know. Takamine’s Limited Edition Series includes a number of the most outstanding guitars we’ve ever made, and as long as we still have stock around, they’re available for you to purchase. But be aware: as the name implies, they are limited, and once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.

Takamine Community Spotlight:
Dan S.: “Hallelujah"

We don’t know much about Takamine Community member Dan S., but we do know he did a lovely and heartfelt version of Leonard Cohen’s classic tune “Hallelujah” on a 12-string Takamine EF381SC from our Legacy Series. If you play a Tak, what are you waiting for? Post your own video to the Takamine USA site for us to check out and possibly share with thousands of fellow musicians!
