The TC132SC is handcrafted in our pro series facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades. This nylon string classical guitar pays homage to traditional classical instruments and follows closely to the original drawings of Antonio Torres. It is the first choice of performing classical latin and jazz musicians looking for pure nylon string tone at amplified volume levels. The solid cedar top produces a warm full tone with plenty of dynamic range. The solid rosewood back aids in the projection and enhances the sonic brilliance of the instruments. Gloss natural finish provides durability and adds to the beauty of the guitar. The mahogany neck features a dual action truss rod, which keeps the guitar playing perfectly in any environment. Includes Takamine's proprietary CTP-3 Cool Tube™ preamp system. The dual-channel CTP-3 provides low-voltage tube tone, variable from bright and brilliant to thick and warm, three band EQ with semi-parametric midrange, auxiliary input and volume (for use when a second pickup is added), and an onboard chromatic tuner.

IMO, swap the CT preamp for a CT4-DX.  The mic pickup is useless for the clean sound of the guitar (too bassy because of proximity effect, and can't be dialed out)

The latter works great for a nylon string guitar.  (I made a special order with spruce top and sides for Flamenco, and did the latter for the Takamine TC132SC.

I am absolutely delighted with my (modified) TC132SC; the sound is pristine, and I can even use electric guitar effects.... (e.g., a mild overdrive controlled by volume/gain control on the preamp)

A similar situation exists for Cordoba guitars;  swap out any presys, prefix preamp for the Fishman Aura Pro and life will be much happier.

(IMO internal mics are counter productive for nylon string guitars - you're better off with a stick-on 25$ transducer pickup from Amazon - which have improved greatly from the bad old days... :)

FWIW, YMMV, IMO, etc.

I just finished purchasing the TC132SC with the CTP-3 preamp and was curious as to what type of auxiliary pickup I could install if any. All the ones that I have researched   won't pick up nylon string input. Are there any that can be used for nylon string. Open to suggestions. Thanks .

You could use a Takamine Soundboard Transducer!  Part number TP0894. Retail Price is $150 and it can be ordered from any Takamine dealer.
